Here in Mendoza you can find ski resorts. The most popular one is Las Leñas ski resort, which has accommodation, restaurants, and a variety of activities for the entire family. For more on this check their web page www.laslenas.com. It has been considered one of the best ski resorts in South America.

Mendoza is widely known as one of the Wine Capitals of the world. It is here in Mendoza where up to 70% of the Argentinian wine is produced and as if this wasn´t enough you also have the Andes Mountains in the background. Honoring their wine reputation, we came across Malbec the Argentinian wine and loved it. A good place to enjoy it is Bodegas Escorihuela Gascon founded by Miguel Escorihuela Gascon who in 1882 moved to Mendoza to start his bodega and vineyards that started in 1884. Now it is in the hands of Nicolas Catena who bought the company in 1993. Unfortunately for us, we couldn´t visit the vineyards because we didn´t have enough time, instead we made a reservation at their restaurant in the Bodega.

The restaurant is called 1884 Restaurante, and is in the hands of chef/owner Francis Mallmann, an Argentinian celebrity chef and author. This place is incredible combining Argentinian wine and food makes for an excellent experience.

If you are looking for an unforgettable experience without having to go to Europe, Mendoza is the place to be. Here you can find great outdoor activities, hotels, great wine, and excellent food. It really is a wonderful place.

The best hotel to stay in Mendoza is The Hotel Park Hyatt Mendoza, Casino and Spa. This hotel has a pristine location looking at the famous Plaza Independencia. If you love Spanish Colonial buildings, this is simply the best. Located in the heart of Mendoza, close to the Mendoza´s airport and Bodegas (wine vineyards).

It has a Parisian style and freshly baked pastries with the same influence, simply delicious! Located at two blocks from the Hyatt toward south located at Calle Chile 894.
