In SouthAmericatotheWorld.com we have been using all our own pictures in every post, and in our photo galleries. These images are the result of many years traveling to different countries and cities in the world not only South America.
James M. Wise is an avid photographer with many years of experience. His first photography work started using conventional film, as many of us did in the past century. Now that photography technology has advanced and developed in incalculable measure, Jim has developed his own technics along with it. Throughout this process, what started as a hobby at a young age, turned out to be a new passion for him.
Jim as a photographer has the knowledge, patience, commitment, and passion that oftentimes is required to capture the ideal image. Many times he had to wait for the rain to stop, or wait for the clouds to move, for the perfect time of the day to see the sunrise or sunset. For some cars to get out of the way, for not to be bothered by people that couldn´t understand why he was taking so much time to take a picture to fully consider composition, light, color, and balance. Also some pictures took several trips to get it just perfect. Jim´s main focus are travel, landscapes, and nature, which comes to no surprise being a geologist he gets to spend a lot of time outdoors. Also being a rock climber made up for some exciting shoots.
The main difference between James M. Wise work as a photographer, and others is that all his pictures are natural- no Photoshop involved; there is no alteration in any sense. As he once told me “It is not the camera is the user” that makes the difference between a “simple picture” and one of Jim´s subject oriented pictures.
Taking in consideration the knowledge, experience, the amount of time and work for each of these photo galleries is the reason why we have decided that Jim´s capabilities as a photographer deserve to be recognized as such.
